About Me: Tom Lee
Updated: a day ago
Perspective Pictures is a digital-first video agency, based in Islington, North London. We are a young company, fuelled by creative minds from all over the UK. Together, we as a team create visually exciting content, that is designed to be informative, engaging, and full of narrative.
In this series: ‘About Me’, we meet all the brains behind the video magic, and explore how everyone came to be in Perspective Pictures.
Today, we sat down with the dual Head of Marketing and Head of Post Production, Tom Lee. He is one of the many brilliant minds that make up Perspective Pictures. At just 27 years old, he has travelled the world with his career, before coming to share his content and marketing knowledge at Perspective Pictures.
Hey Tom, first up - how did you get into the video production industry?
I have been involved with this industry since I was 16 years old. I specialised in self-shooting and editing, and doing this as a freelancer has taken me all over the world. This includes countries such as France, Germany, Sweden, South-Korea and Indonesia.
I have worked with bands, brands, and businesses shooting a variety of different content - including music videos, and promotional content for both products and brands.
As well as all this, I also worked as a marketing manager and creative consultant for several of the UK’s leading leisure providers. This role involved managing multi-million-pound marketing budgets with campaigns rolled out across the United Kingdom.
Wow, that’s impressive. What do you do outside of work?
In my spare time, I love to travel and explore cities, landscapes and countries.
I’m also passionate about fitness. I mainly focus on cycling, running and yoga but my favourite pastimes are board sports, surfing and snowboarding.
And what is your favourite thing about your role at Perspective Pictures?
My favourite aspect of the role is the sheer scale and variety of projects I get to work on.
I might spend my Monday morning scheduling the teams' workflow for the following week, then work on our social content and strategy, before diving into a client project in the afternoon.
There is never a dull day!
Amazing! Okay, some quick-fire questions...
And most importantly - how do you drink your tea?
I take my tea strong, with a dash of milk and one sugar.
